Magical Variety Entertainer! /David Ramsay

Magic, Juggling, comedy...
He, David Ramsay introduce himself「Magical Variety Entertainer」!
He really perform various arts!
and play one after another ,so we can't take a rest in this show time! www



I'm sure that you want to ask him,
"Isn't it hard for you to perform so many arts?".
His answer is so simple!
"I like to perform! I've lived with arts in all my life.
I've always done what I like! "

When he was 7～25 years old, he improved his skills so hard.
And now, he improves how to show & entertain audience more than about his skills.
For example, talking, music and also arts.
So he always changes and develops hisself!



From children to eldery people, everyone must enjoy and laugh at his show!
Please come & see Mr.David who loves Japan ,especially Shizuoka!

You must see this transform from a toy into art!/Yusuke Ito

Yusuke Ito is the first professional performer of kendama in the world.
We've never seen kendama performance, so we wasn't able to imagine a performance with kendama.
However, his performance totally changed our conception.
He appered on the stage wearing Happi and Tabi with music of Shamisen.
Then he showed us rythmical and dynamic art with sounds of "kan-kon kan-kon".
The audience was fascinated by his kendama world.
In last, he performed the big art "kendama without a string".
The kendama just looked like a living thing!
"What is the attraction of kendama?", we asked.
His answer was thus;
"Anybody can enjoy to play kendama if he or she want to. The simplicity attracts me."
He've opened up a new way in kendama world.
He will continue to give us much more impression.

Surreal Comedy Sivouplait!/SIVOUPLAIT

Have you seen the duo wearing all white?? Their performance has a nostalgic atmosphere of Japanese Showa period.
They create such an unique mood with the pantomime and the comic movements.You might have never seen such a show.
Especially the scene『Doubles』which, made for their first ON depertment stage in 2006, uses the outside stage efficiently and drag you into their world.
Their performance with lots of love and laughter is too good to miss! You gotta see this!!

Tightrope walking/Ohki

Ohki is today wearing a nice colour- red and black jacket.At beginning interview, he said that tight-rope walking performance is the last show ,
so that shocked us a little bit. But he shows another new performance such as spinning dishes,comical talk too which can be able to enjoy in just
front of stage or around audience circle. This time in Shizuoka he intends to show his ordinary tight-rope walking and another new performance.
In China , Korea,Japan,Canada where shows his performance many times and gave a joyfully time to peoples , who is Ohki,so that I fell a little bit
sorry due to no more tight-rope walking,but he want that audience memory his tight rope- performance in their mind.

This is the greatest Daidogei / Witty Look
This is the greatest Daidogei who ride a Unicycle and cheerful combination couple.
In this first performance in on competition Shizuoka in which, made them in mike trouble but they overcome it's condition
with witness and usual of its. A look like clown's performance made audience are not tired of, and
unique talks and gesture that induce audience concentration and big clapping. What's a wonderful combination & limber body !
Slovensko,England,Canada of course in Japan in which they are doing performance as usual, so that they become more skillfull
performer in order to impress their proffestionalism. While four days in Shizuoka, they want to have energy with Shizuoka's
dainty for continuing wonderful performance.Then we introduce "ODEN" and "KURO HANPPEN". Please tell them your favorite food too.

Performing Art / the International Convention in Shizuoka

Before the Preview Show of Daidogei,「Performing Art / the international Convention」 was held at Granship in Shizuoka.

At this convention, 3 guest speakers performed.
・Amelia Lemay, Counselor for International Affairs Asia-Pacific and Mexico Departmaent for International Affairs
and Intergovernmental Relations Ministry for Culture, Communications and the Status of Women, Quebec
・Claude Bourbonniere, the president of Cirque du Soreil Tokyo
・Otani Iku, the president of the NPO 「Dance Box」
Guests talked about 「the relationship between art and people」from each position.
Ms Amelia performed from the position of government, Mr Claude performed from that of commerce
and Mr Otani talked from that of both of dancer and the president.
It was very different viewpoint.

At the last, Kouga Masaaki, the producer of Daidogei world cup committee played a cordinator
and discussed about「the Art and City Revival」with 3 guests.

And sometimes the scheduled time was exceeded, because the contents were so serious and they discussed deeply.
Although this convention was 3 hours, we felt this very short time and were interested a lot.

I was surprised that 3 guests have the same thought about 「Art activated cities and people」.
Daidogei is meaningful as not only the performance event, but also the city revival project.
