Nino comes back again! / Nino Costrini
Nino, a trickster crown and the champion of Daidogei World Cup in Shizuoka 2007, comes back again.
This time, he left his loving wife, child, and 6-month old newborn baby in his home country during the festival.
He said "I am missing them," and added with a warm smile, "even in such situation,
of course I am really happy to come here, because I love to come to Shizuoka."
A sense of unity with the audience completes Nino's show.
Also, he has a gifted insight to find a perfect assistant for his stage.
It doesn't matter if the one is an adult, kid, or even a dog!
One of today's lucky participant was Takashi.
He was picked for the ping-pong ball performance.
This is the third time for Takashi to appear on Nino's show.
The first one was in 2007, the year Nino won the World Cup Champion award.
Nino told us he chose Takashi because he found a spectacular bright smile on Takashi's face.
The two of them had another fateful reunion this year too.
If you are enjoying his show with a natural beaming smile, you may be the next lucky one on Nino's stage!

Fast Juggling/Mario&Sharon Berousek
Over 1 hour before the performance starts,
the big audience is already awaiting for jugglers Mario & Sharon Berousek.
Sharon is Mario's daughter. Mario has performed juggling for 20 years.
The number of club he is juggling increases more and more through the show,
throwing the club higher and faster into the air.
Then Sharon appeared with a baton.
With flexibility allowing her to bend her body in extraordinary ways,
Sharon turns her baton while standing on one foot with the other foot straight up in the air.
Not to forget she can also juggle very fast.
"There are many jugglers around the world, but we are unique because we can juggle extremely fast!,"
says Mario.
We can all learn how to juggle, but not all can learn how to juggle fast.
It's their talent.
This is their first visit to Shizuoka.
I asked them what they thought about Shizuoka, and Mario told me "People in Shizuoka are friendly and open-minded."
And he hopes Daidougei World Cup in Shizuoka will continue and people can enjoy Daidogei in Shizuoka.
Good luck on their performance in Shizuoka!

Ballet on the head!!/BALLET ON THE SHOULDER
Changwei, Yu, and Lin come from China has brought a great performance to us in Shizuoka.
At the beggining of the show,Yu and Lin, two slender ladies play diabolos both rhythmically and gracefully.
Their performance is so synchronized thatyou might feel as if you were watching synchronized swimming.
Their movement is so flexible that you will forget how difficult and complex what they are doing.
They gradually draw the audience into their show.
After the diabolo show,Changwei, the male dancer starts to join the show.
He lifts up the ladies high up on his shoulders by turns.
One of the ladies stands on her hands holding his hands tightly, moving her legs in a graceful fashion.
Next, she stands on tiptoe, spins and then stands on one foot while holding her other leg.
She does everything on the man's shoulders. It must be a really hard work but he seems to do every movement without panting.
At the end of the show, he holds one of the ladies not on his shoulders, but on his head.
Their show ends with a powerful climax where she stands one foot on his head and he lets his hands off from her foot.

Thrilling and humorous Stunt/Bello Nock
The "America's best clown" has come back to Shizuoka for the second time
with another amazing performance!
With passion, humor, and athleticism, Bello Nock has brought his invention,
"double wheel on steel" to blow us away with another comical and exciting show.
The clown starts by running inside a circular wheel high in the air,
making the audience gasp as the wheel spins in circular motion.
Then, just when the audience restores calmness after the wheel stops,
the clown steps outside the wheel without any lifeline, and takes away
the breathe of the audience for another exciting stunt.
I asked the clown why he has choosen this act, and his response was that
"Japanese audience are passionate about what they see, and that we chose
an act that was dangerous, difficult, exciting, daring, and yet comical."
"We perform to see the audience smile, nothing is more rewarding than that,"
saids Bello Nock with passion and sincerity.
Come and see Bello Nock, you will surely be screaming in thrill and laughter.
