The bell rings for "KANO"/MAMI KANO

The MAMI KANO is back again.
She's already had lots of fans around Japan,and captured new ones also today in Shizuoka.

Her surreal atmosphere and side-splitting performance leaves strong impression.
Filled with a dry humour,she draws the audience from children to adult into a world of laughter.

Using music as an accompaniment,she offers mime and magic show with various small items like a pair of castanets,a recorder and so on.


she said "I have many blue jersey clothes,and also today,I'll get a new one."
Even her comment was in wit and humor.

How about experiencing her distinctive world!

Have you ever seen aerial performers who covers their eyes!?

It is just amazing to see how they perform so naturally with their eyes covered.

They say it is even better not to see because then they can feel the audience.





They have been performing for 8 years and 2 years with the blindfold.

A beautiful love story was in their performance.

You will be satisfied by watching this and will make you want to see it again.

"Is that a human being!?"
You may not think of any other words when you see her work for the first time.
Don't worry, of course she is human.
A bit different from ohter normal people though.

"What's different?"
That's definitely her sense of proportion, flexibility of body, and her beautiful looks.
When you see her work, you will understand every words I said.

She is a beautiful 17 years old lady, who is a fifth-generation leader of a circus.
She was supposed to be here last year, but bad thing happened, and she couldn't come here.
I guess there are so many people who is looking forward to seeing her.

I don't want to talk about her show so much because you'll never understand her greatness through my poor sentences.
You must take a look!

Instead of that, I'll talk about her little secret.
The guy who is helping her during her show is her father.
He does almost everything for her to work.
He is like her producer, theacher, and manager.
And the costume and ornament she is wearing are designed by her mother.
Also her make-up is originally tought by her mother.
"Everything is a part of performance." says she.
That means, the show we watch is created by her family, not only herself.
Good story, isn't it?

She also said, "the audience in Shizuoka is perfect.
They truely concentrate on my performance.
One thing really important for artists is that there is the audience who watches our work, you know.
Some times for 5 minutes show, you need to practice more than 5 years.
So when I meet these wonderful audience, I feel happiness!"

In the sudden rain, he started his juggling act.
His sensitive performance was interrupted by the rain once or twice, but he didn't give up.
He showed a speedy juggling and powerful dance.
In a steady rain, the audience kept cheering him on.
