Basselton Brings Medieval Ages to Shizuoka
With trumpet fanfare the streets of downtown Shizuoka turn into
medieval Europe.Basselton, who have been to Japan many times,
entertain their audience with their juggling act. Basselton means
"to kill time" in German, but their performance is more exciting
than relaxing. Especially for the audience member who is chosen
to help them with their fire juggling!

15 Years of Daidogei
Take a trip down memory lane in between performances.
The Daidogei Museum is an exhibit in the Shimin Gallery that
looks back at the past 15 years. A rare chance to see how it
all began.

Bencha - Aerial Elegance
They have participated in the Daidogei World Cup in Shizuoka
since two years ago as a special aerial act.But this year they
joined the World Cup competition! However, that does not make
any diffrence in their performance. Because they always act only
for their audience not for competition.
Their performance is really beautifull and dynamic. And this year
it is more powerful than ever! Live violin music makes for an
even richer Bencha World experience. You can not miss it!

Veronica's Cute Puppet Show
First day of Daidogei World Cup in Shizuoka!
Today is a weekday so there are so many elementary school
students and kindergarten kids. It is a kinds of field trip for
schools around this area.
For Veronica Gonzalez, this is a first time to visit Daidogei in
Shizuoka. She manipulates puppets using her own legs and feet
amazingly! At first you when you see her performance you think
"How flexible is her legs!" or "How dexterous!"
However you will soon forget that these are her legs or feet.
Her puppets start to act as if they are alive.
