Safety & Emergencies
Your safety is our highest priority. Please remain calm and follow the instructions of festival staff in the event of an emergency.
Event Cancellation
The festival may be cancelled in the event of a major earthquake, severe weather or any other situation in which it cannot be operated safely.

- Announcements and information boards at the festival venues
If a Disaster Occurs
- Stay calm and do not panic.
- Follow the instructions of festival staff.
- Please assist children, older people and people with disabilities when evacuating.
- In the event of a tornado or thunderstorm, take shelter inside a sturdy building or in an underground area.
- Stay away from trees and building overhangs, as these areas may be dangerous.
Evacuation Sites
Evacuation sites are marked on the Official Guide Map. Please use the map to find the nearest evacuation site.
Look for the green evacuation site symbol shown on the map.
Confirming Your Safety
It may be difficult to make phone calls during a disaster. In such cases, please use one of the following services:

Safety Support Team
The executive committee has formed a volunteer Safety Support Team to patrol performance areas and streets throughout the festival.
Team members may speak to visitors if they notice a potential danger. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Security and Crowd Safety
Shizuoka Chuo Police Station will strengthen security during the festival to help prevent terrorism and crowd-related accidents.
If you see a suspicious person or object, please call the police immediately by dialling 110.
