Do I need a ticket to watch the performances?
Most outdoor performances across the city are free to watch. If you enjoy a performance, you are encouraged to show your appreciation by placing a tip, known as Nagesen, in the artist’s hat after the show.

Admission to the Premium Stage requires a paid ticket, which must be purchased in advance.
What happens if it rains? Will the festival be cancelled?
The festival will generally go ahead in rain. However, in the event of heavy rain, strong winds or other severe weather, some performances may be delayed, moved to another location or cancelled for the safety of the artists and audience.

May I take photos or record videos of the performances?
Photography and video recording for personal use are generally permitted.

Please be considerate of other audience members. Do not use tripods or step stools, or hold cameras above your head, as this may block other people’s view.

Photography or recording may be prohibited during performances by certain artists. Please follow the instructions of the artist and festival staff.
Is parking available at the festival venues?
The festival organizer does not provide dedicated visitor parking.

The areas around Sumpu Castle Park and central Shizuoka are expected to be very crowded, and traffic restrictions may be in place. We strongly recommend using public transport, including trains and buses.
Is food available at the festival?
Yes. Food stalls and local vendors in Sumpu Castle Park will offer a wide variety of food and drinks.

There are also many restaurants and cafés near the performance venues in central Shizuoka.
Are baby-care facilities and accessible toilets available?
Yes. Accessible toilets are available in Sumpu Castle Park and at various public facilities in central Shizuoka.

Baby-care tents for feeding and changing will also be available in Sumpu Castle Park. Please check the Official Guide Map for exact locations.
