Access & Transportation
Festival venues are located in three areas of Shizuoka City: Aoi Ward, Suruga Ward and Shimizu Ward.
Many of the main venues in Aoi Ward are within walking distance of JR Shizuoka Station. Venues in Suruga Ward and Shimizu Ward can be reached by public transport.
We strongly recommend using public transport, as roads and car parks are expected to be very crowded during the festival.
Getting to Shizuoka
By Train
Take the Tokaido Shinkansen to JR Shizuoka Station.
Approximate journey times by Hikari are:
- From Tokyo Station: approximately 1 hour
- From Nagoya Station: approximately 1 hour
- From Shin-Osaka Station: approximately 2 hours
Kodama services also stop at Shizuoka but take longer because they stop at every station.
Check train times before travelling, as not all Hikari services stop at Shizuoka.
By Highway Bus
Highway buses connect Shizuoka Station with Tokyo, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Yokohama, Kyoto, Osaka, Kofu and other cities.
Routes and timetables may change. Please check the bus company websites before travelling.
From Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport
A direct bus runs from Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport to Shizuoka Station and Shin-Shizuoka. The journey takes approximately 60 minutes.

Festival Areas
Aoi Ward: Central Shizuoka
The main festival area includes:
- Sumpu Castle Park
- Tokiwa Park
- Aoba Symbol Road
- Gofukucho
- Shichikencho
- Keyaki-dori
- Other locations in central Shizuoka
Most of these venues can be reached on foot from the North Exit of JR Shizuoka Station or from Shin-Shizuoka Station.
Suruga Ward
The performance venue in Suruga Ward is located at AEON Central Square Shizuoka.
From the South Exit of JR Shizuoka Station, take a Shizutetsu Justline bus:
- From bus stop 22, take the Ishida Kaido Line and get off at Nakada 3-chome Daiwa House-mae
- From bus stop 21, take the Minami Line and get off at Ishida
Both bus stops are a short walk from the venue.
Shimizu Ward
The performance venue in Shimizu Ward is located at S-Pulse Dream Plaza.
By JR
From JR Shizuoka Station, take the JR Tokaido Main Line to JR Shimizu Station. A free shuttle bus runs from the Minato Exit (East Exit) of JR Shimizu Station to S-Pulse Dream Plaza. The shuttle journey takes approximately eight minutes.
By Shizuoka Railway
From Shin-Shizuoka Station, take the Shizuoka Railway to Shin-Shimizu Station. From there, take the free shuttle bus to S-Pulse Dream Plaza.

By Car
The festival organizer does not provide dedicated visitor parking.
Heavy traffic and congestion are expected during the festival, and traffic restrictions may be in place. We strongly recommend using public transport.
If you must drive, please use a public or commercial car park. Do not park on nearby streets or at facilities that you are not visiting.
By Bicycle
Bicycle parking is restricted in parts of central Shizuoka during the festival. Please do not leave bicycles on streets or pavements.
In addition to municipal bicycle parking facilities, temporary bicycle parking areas will be provided by the festival organiser during the festival. Please look for the signs and follow the instructions at each location.
Accommodation
Shizuoka City has a wide range of hotels and traditional Japanese inns, known as ryokan.
Accommodation fills up quickly during the festival, so we strongly recommend booking as early as possible.
